Lightning by CGPhotography Lightning by CGPhotography
Once again, lightning striking like mad....

One month and one day after taking my first shot at weather photography, I give you this.....once again, nothing spectacular, just the right place at the right time scenario...larger f/number this time so the neighborhood is blue-ish black, as opposed to the bright orange of the previous shot.

I love this. One of the few times there is ever lightning in southern CA.

How on earth did you manage to capture it though? I tried, to no avail.

WOW :w00t: that's amazing... and did you notice that in the orange window on the far left it looks like a face.. or half a face at least... I think the picture would look great if you cropped it to just the left hand half too but as it is I love it. Mother Nature rocks again!

Thanks :w00t:

Yeah, if i had angled the camera to the left more it would have been perfection, but hey, can't predict lightning

Very nice...lightning shots are always a good choice :D i like how some of the bolts coming off the side are blue and different colors. Only "critique" I'd give is there seems to be a hot pixel on the right third of the shot, a little lower than halfway down...that could be cloned out, but it's no big thang.

Ack, good spot on that pixel....that's no good....better not be a defect with my 20D, just got it a few months ago.
